Windows Live Writer is an application that lets you post articles on weblogs. When you first install it, it will ask you to tell it what kind of weblog you are running, or you can create one with Live's service, if you want. After that, if you have an existing weblog, Windows Live Writer will acquire all your settings and, within minutes, it will be ready to go. After the configuration process, you are faced with the main window, in which you can your writing skills set free. The user interface is simple enough that you can be ready to post in minutes. There is a title field and down below goes the text. On the right, you have another menu. There, you have options for your post that allow you to add hyperlink, pictures, tables, maps, tags, and video. Windows Live Writer has support for external plug-ins, which give you great additional functionality. This writer comes with all the tools that you might find in a word processor, such as spell check, font properties, paragraph formatting and more. All in all, this is a great application to post articles from your computer without using a web browser.
